Featuring the bright, crisp, citrusy fruit character of the Seyval grape, this wine is often compared with less grassy versions of Sauvignon Blanc. Pairs well with seafood and light cheeses. [0.0% residual sugar]
Seyval: (pronounced say-VAHL) A French hybrid (one of the parent grapes is Rayon d’Or), Seyval is the earliest grape to ripen in the vineyard – often in mid-August. It tends to produce a lot of clusters, and in most years must be thinned to reduce the crop. This white grape makes a wine that is crisp and light and exhibits an herbal-citrus character. Blumenhof grows 1 acre of Seyval.
