An alluring floral bouquet combined with seductive citrus and tree fruit flavors make this wine a sensual knockout. A consistent award winner, our 2010 vintage received the Governor’s Cup for “BEST MISSOURI WINE.” [6.8% residual sugar]
Valvin Muscat was bred at Cornell University in 1962. It’s a cross between Muscat du Moulin and Muscat Ottonel. The vines are lower in vegetative growth, and tend to produce a very light – moderate crop. The berries of this variety are very large, but the number of berries per cluster is quite low.
The juice is typically lower in sugar than other varieties we grow, resulting in a wine that is less alcoholic in most years. Valvin Muscat has fantastic aroma, and a light body. One of our favorites!
